Understanding Application Home page

Before reading this article, make sure you know how to add and configure an application. The application wizard will guide through selecting and configuring the integrations. At the end of the wizard, the to task to gather metrics from the configured integrations is automatically executed and all the metrics and dashboards are created in a few minutes.

The landing page for any application is the Home tab. The Home tab consists of several parts

  1. Key Metrics
  2. Pipeline Visualization
  3. Integrations
  4. Task  

Key Metrics

Key metrics provide a snapshot view of metrics in an integration and reflect the latest value of those metrics. There Home tab displays the key metrics across all the integrations in a carousel. Here's an example of key metrics:

You can hide or show the key metrics section by selecting the eye icon or selecting hide key metrics in the application preference. 

Pipeline Insights

If a Pipeline is configured when adding integrations, pipeline visualization is displayed.   

Pipeline visualization shows all the stages and for each the CI/CD Jobs configured. For each job, it displays the the stories and defects handled as a part of that run, the files that were changed and the name of the job that triggered this job, if exists.

This visualization gives you an at a glance overview of the end-to-end pipeline and helps you understand the progress you are making in the release process. The data comes from integrations in in the following categories - Source Repo, CI/CD Server, Project and Release Management and Artifact Repository.  

Integrations

This section lists all the configured integrations and for each integration the configuration details. For every integration, the resources are listed with configuration details.
